What is a Yoni?

Yoni is the Sanskrit word for vagina. The translation of Yoni is Sacred Space.

What is a Lingam?

Lingam is the Sanskrit word for penis. The translation is Wand of Light or Wand of God. Vajra, another word for penis, is a Sanskrit equivalent of the Tibetan word Dorje which carries several meanings: Indra's thunderbolt, the Lama's scepter and adamantine or diamond-like.

What is this thing called Shakti that you say I will awaken in this work?

Shakti is the Sanskrit word for our spiritual sexual energy. It is the creative life force energy, mother-like in nature. By consciously cultivating this energy, we have more of it to utilize in every aspect of our lives.

I am a woman. I know I need sexual healing work, but it's too scary for me to even think about having someone touch me "down there." Is there any other way for me to receive the healing I know I need?

First you need to know you are always in charge of your Yoni, your "down there." This is truly your sacred space. Before you even think about having someone else touch you, we suggest you work with yourself by placing your own hands over your Yoni (dressed or undressed) and simply transmit love and healing. As you consciously begin touching yourself in a loving and kind way, your Yoni will start to relax and trust you. Someday you may feel safe enough with a particular person, or in a healing ceremony, to open to touch that has no agenda other than to bring healing energy to you. Before that time, know that you can do a great deal of healing by yourself and with yourself. Know that anyone you may choose who has been trained by us, will have the knowledge and awareness of how to give you the healing touch you need.

I am a man and am embarrassed by my lack of knowledge and skill. Will this training help me become a better lover?

Love is a skill that can be learned. More than that, learning to open and see through your heart will change your sexual experience forever. You will gain confidence that what you bring to woman is what she wants, not only sexually, but also emotionally and spiritually.

Do I need previous experience before taking the 10-day trainings?

Previous experience is very helpful. If you have read Tantra books, had a private session, or taken a workshop, you will be more open and knowledgeable to the material we present. Most important is your willingness and desire to learn. If we don't know you, we require a phone conversation before you sign up. That way we can assess where you are and if your needs are a match for what we offer.

Can I take one module and see how I like it before signing up for the entire training?

Yes. The modules are created so that you can take them in any order. You can take just one and see if you would like to continue.

I want to take the training for the information, not to be certified. Can I do this?

Yes. We want people to have this information, whether they use it to teach or for their own personal needs.

I don't feel like a "Divine Feminine" or "goddess." I'm just an ordinary woman. Do I qualify?

No woman is ordinary. We are each a unique expression of the feminine. Divine Feminine helps each woman see the gift that is within her and helps her bring this out. The more we experience the gift that we are and the gifts that we bring, the more confidence we have in giving these gifts.

How do we protect ourselves in the sexual healing work from STDs?

Nothing in our trainings include sexual intercourse or transmission of fluids. We teach people to be very transparent and in integrity with their sexual energy, and to clearly communicate what the sessions will be. The sexual healing work does not involve intercourse. Impeccable hygiene is mandatory and gloves are provided.

Is it necessary to have a private session before or during the training?

Private sessions are not required, but they can be profoundly helpful. Please visit our LINKS section to find a Divine Feminine Institute trained practitioner.
