Do you happen to possess true self-confidence? I’m talking about more than just liking yourself. I mean truly feeling the breadth, the depth, and the pervasive, uplifting energy of life force that pours off of you in waves of self-acceptance that everyone around you can feel.

That would entail walking with authentic pride everywhere you go. That means you are in your mastery and power during intimacy. That also means you are in full disclosure behind your eyes… hiding nothing and exposing everything, fearlessly.

I’ve been looking back on my own journey of reclaiming, and remembering what it means to be embodied and in alignment with the divine in me. When I see or read or meet someone who has found that “spark” of passion to share or teach something that has given them a part of life they were missing, I bow in recognition and respect. This is what turns me on about someone… their unwavering assurance of what they are here to do.

During this going “inward” time I spoke about in a recent blog, I was ignited by a woman who in her sixties who found a new career. Cindy Joseph came across my screen on Facebook, and I immediately watched her video and then just as quickly ordered a beginners set of her new product line, BOOM! by Cindy Joseph, makeup for women over 40. Everything she is saying is exactly what I need to hear. Where else would I go to learn how older women wear makeup?

Her philosophy of “Pro-Aging” versus “Anti-Aging” got my juices flowing. Yes! Of course! When I think about how subtly subversive media messages and advertising are for women around aging, it seems so obvious! As I continue to heal the skin on my face from the laser procedure, I am confronted with something many men and women have struggled with, something that has an impact on their confidence. Acne scars, thinning lips, under-eye bags, drooping eyelids, crooked yellowing teeth… turkey necks, for god’s sake! Oh yes, don’t forget thinning hair, graying hair, and no hair.

Lack of self-confidence can be very painful. It undermines our knowing that we are beautiful human beings and that aging is a natural process. Others may not see what we feel… but you know, don’t you? Do your insides quiver when you feel the pain of not being sure of yourself? I am dedicated to helping others grow beyond what holds them back. It’s not just one thing you need to do, or even three steps that you must take… it’s a mindset shift. And people like Cindy Joseph are leading the way. BOOM! is the sound of the start of a revolution!

Tell me your inside story! What physical or emotional attribute holds you back from radical confidence? I want to know.

Juicy Love from Caroline

If you haven’t read part 1 of this post, it lays the foundation for this conversation. You can read it here.

mature-woman-850600_1920If you are a woman over 50, how are you presenting yourself to the world? As a sexless granny? Or as the amazing, beautiful, sexy woman that you inherently are? It doesn’t matter how old you are, what size you are, or how many wrinkles you have. Your life force moves within you as much as you allow it until the day you leave this earthly plane.

We KNOW that older women hold the wisdom of life experience and the fire of deep pleasure within them. I can hardly think of anything more toxic to our feminine power than to deny who we really are! This kind of sexist stereotyping can lock women into a deep hunger that they have little permission to explore or satisfy. It’s time to get real.

Mature women who hide their essential feminine core are only pretending… as if there is something wrong with being fully alive. Who are you protecting? Your sons? Your reputation? This is something that may have been passed down from your own mother. And to her from her mother. It’s time for the old paradigm to shift. Let go of what no longer serves you! It’s time to be ALL that you truly are as a woman and a sexual, sensual being!

Please, share your feelings and thoughts about this topic. It’s VERY important and very much “up” right now in our culture.

Should Mature Women Hide Their Bodies?

Dr. Jenn Brandt, director of Women’s and Gender Studies at High Point University, recently responded to a tweet that raises some major assumptions about women’s sexual identity as we age. The tweet, made by Piers Morgan, accused actress Susan Sarandon of being “very tacky” for showing off her “ample cleavage.”

In her response, Dr. Brandt hit the nail on the head when she said: “We have two roles for women: when they’re young, a femme fatale sex object and then after that a mother or caregiver role.”

Let’s face it… breasts produce the milk that feed our offspring. Women nurse their young in public, though usually draped. As a woman in her ’70’s I would do exactly as Susan Sarandon has done… she ’shared’ her lovely breasts because she is still connected to her sensuality, her female confidence, and her passion for herself. She gets my vote!

The article goes on to say, What’s underneath all of this back and forth is society’s collective fear of a woman old enough to be a grandmother flaunting her sexuality. Women “of a certain age” are traditionally offered a limited range of activities; wearing muumuus, baking cookies and/or knitting. When a woman challenges that stereotype, it can and often does ruffle feathers.

knitting-150970_1280For those men who uncomfortable with sexy women over 50… I bet my bottom dollar they see every older woman as their mother, and mothers are definitely relegated to the hidden, invisible “granny corner” by their sons!

Young men usually do not acknowledge their mothers and their mother’s contemporaries as alive, sensual, fully vibrant women who love their passion and love to play with it.

These moms have had to hide their feminine sensual side all of their lives so not to arouse their sons! What kind of toll does that take on a woman? And what good does it actually do for anyone to “protect” the sexual security of men?

What’s YOUR opinion on society’s expectations of women over 50?

What do you believe is REALLY possible for a woman over 50 in terms of her sexual energy and identity as a feminine being?

Please share this with the women you know and love who are over 50.

How You See Others Can Tell You a Great Deal About Yourself

Have you ever noticed how you compare yourself to others?

Say your good friend suddenly meets a man and he is crazy about her. The more they see of each other, the more your mind turns to thoughts such as…

She really isn’t that attractive.

She still carries that extra weight.

At least she could get a new hairstyle or do something more to enhance her looks.

And on and on you go, comparing and judging your friend by outside appearances, rather than showing sincere curiosity about what it is that makes her so attractive to a desirable man.

Do you find yourself resenting your friend’s new happiness, while you wish that it were you getting dressed for yet another date to go dancing or to dinner?

Are your buttons getting pushed as this reminds you of high school, when it seems all of the desirable boys wanted to date your tiny and petite friends?

Back then, it probably made you feel far larger than you actually were. And perhaps still today, even if you fit beautifully into a size 12, you question your desirability and attractiveness.

Your subconscious mind is still feeling the rejection of the teenager! It holds you back from projecting confidence and self-esteem. You will continue to attract friends who push those old buttons, often seeing them as causing your pain.

At your core you are certain that you can never be enough. Your core is a very deep place and you may wonder if it can even be accessed or if you are just stuck with this old stuff.

Much of my life read like the above. It wasn’t until my beloved friend and lover began working with me using several simple techniques I now teach, that I began to crack the hard crust over my core and allow love to flow in. Under that crust is an ocean of the warmest love… a love for myself that has given me the greatest gifts of my life.

We don’t all have the good fortune to meet a friend or lover who can undertake the role of cracking us wide open. It is not a role for the faint of heart. I cried uncontrollable burning tears for years in order to melt my resistance to being loved, because I was taught from childhood that it was better to give than to receive. It wasn’t until I could truly put myself first that I began to live a happy and turned-on life.

You don’t have to go through years of tears to access your own self-love!

I can help you

Boy, Was My Face Red!

Mask FaceAs I prepare to go “public” in a whole new way, promoting my new online program, I’ve struggled with my self-confidence. My face and skin wear the markings of a life lived outdoors… a lifetime of facing the sun, having never heard of sunscreen and hating hats until it was too late.

I decided to go to a cosmetic surgeon in mid January for a deep CO2 Laser procedure on my face to remove the damage of those sun-loving decades on Maui. The Doc assured me I would be “back on the street,” or back in the pool, in three weeks; however, it’s taken a bit longer than that.

Nightmarish misery kept me awake many nights under my CPAP mask prescribed for sleep apnea several years ago, trying to figure out who I could blame for this. The CPAP mask added to my discomfort and aggravated my healing skin. I had to keep going “in” until I forgave myself for creating the need for this procedure. Many skin cancers have been removed since living on Maui, and I lovingly (with one side of my smile askance) began to call myself “Scarface.”

And yet, skilled with applying make-up since I was twelve years old, I still managed to shine! It’s all in the eyes, they say… and, I also want my glow to be in my skin. These weeks indoors and out of the public eye have revealed how much computer work and writing I still need to finish before my online program launches in April. It also propelled me to clean out closets, refresh my bras and panties drawer with many drops of Lavender from Provence, and even visit Facebook and browse the Internet more than I normally do.

Oh, The Discoveries I Made! I’ve connected with Anaiya Sophia of southern France, and she is the pioneering sister who holds the privilege of teaching and embodying Divine Sexuality beyond Tantra. She is birthing New Paradigm Relationships and the Awakening of the Sacred Body through touch. Anaiya teaches the Feminine expression of Christ Consciousness from the tradition of Mary Magdalene. She is a mystic of great wisdom, and now my friend.

I plan to work with Anaiya and her beloved Pete next year. I met them both during a Skype call in mid-February. She is the first teacher I have been drawn to study and work with in quite some time. She invites me to look deeply at myself and what I bring to the table of loving and living.

Loving Life with you, Caroline

The Vast Heart of Love

Heart Surgeon_edited-1
“If you’re really listening, if you’re awake to the poignant beauty of the world, your heart breaks regularly. In fact, your heart is made to break; its purpose is to burst open again and again so that it can hold ever-more wonders.”
-Andrew Harvey, *The Return of the Mother*

I ask you…. does your heart really ‘break’ or does it bruise to the point where it feels forever fractured? The emotional heart recovers, and often loves again. Yet open heart surgery leads the medical and Medicare industries to the point of overload.

I once had a very precious friend. He is now deceased. He was a Heart Surgeon by profession, and husband and father in his personal life. He and his wife were Tantra students of Charles and mine in the 1980’s and ‘90’s, before his tragic death in an automobile accident. We talked at length about the journey of the heart, both physically and emotionally. He chose, for a two-year period, to close his practice and devote his time to his own deeper soul’s healing and his personal insights about disease and illness.

Dave’s words went something like this. “I knew each time a patient came in for medical reasons that their heart was emotionally broken. I knew that when I hugged them or laid my hands lovingly on their heart that this is what would heal them. Not surgery.”

I can still feel my tears as I remember his poignant words, the sadness in his eyes, and his frustration with medicine as the only “answer” to heart disease. I remember his touch, so filled with divine love. His family was very dear to me. We have lost touch. However, Dave is bigger than life as I write this. I feel his love in my own heart. I transmit that love through this message.

Please take the time to touch the hearts of those you love, and especially to those you may not love. For we all need to feel acknowledged and perhaps even loved… just a little bit… just a fraction of what you are capable of. For the human heart is eternal, endless, limitless, and deeply in need of healing.

We all long for connection, visits from our families, and an end to the endless suffering of so many hearts that inhabit the bodies of people everywhere. You can and you do make a huge difference with just one gaze, one embrace, one word of encouragement. There is a wonderful phrase going around that “we are the ones we’ve been waiting for.” Be one of the ones! Be all of the love that you are. Share yourself with abandon!

In the eternal Spirit of the heart, Caroline

SwansLove and sex go together like birds of a feather… but when it comes to mid-life, ageless women may have to adjust their expectations in order to reclaim or release the fullness of their passion. Furthermore, I am not convinced that ageless women are supposed to reclaim the passion we had in our youth, especially if we are in a long-term relationship with someone close to our own age. When does doing ‘it’ stop? Does it ever stop? And how many definitions are there for ‘it’?

Since men and women go together like bees and honey, when it comes to our combined mid-life years, things begin to change a bit. Let’s take a look together, as some of you are still very libido driven, or you are with a partner who is, or you have simply thrown in the proverbial towel. Or, a same sex relationship is your current milieu. Or, all of the above at different times!

There appears to be a new fullness to my passion as I mature into a fully organic and sustainable female (I will have wine with that, please!). I don’t experience my sexuality or sensuality as locally or genitally as I did when I was younger. Orgasm is a state of mind. It exudes in every center of my being, from my brain into my heart and finally settles in my genitals as a warm reminder of the pulse of life. Satisfaction takes on new meaning, and climax is all pervading! And still there are those rare yet precious times when my sexual response is like a young filly prancing in hot pursuit.

Passion lives in our entire being, as witnessed by the authors, artists, and spirited men and women who sing, write, and dance the praises of boundless creativity.

I am having a resurgence of passion for MEN, especially men who in their aging process are giving up their sexual potency to the inevitable lowering of their testosterone. If they aren’t erect, it seems that nobody is very interested. That is such a damn shame! Do you women know how much fun you can have with a ‘soft-on’? You have within you the power to resurrect your man, or any man you choose, by empowering and delighting in his soft-on!

There is quite a bit left of him besides his erect Wand of Pleasure! His body is as hungry as yours for touch, pleasuring, kisses, and contact. Sex becomes sexual loving as you move through mid-life. Thank God/Goddess for that!!! I am happy to consult with any of you about ‘soft-on’ loving as an art form! In a one hour Skype session, we can cover many of the teachings for Men’s Awakening and Healing, and have fun doing it. (Advance notice will give me time to find the perfect Skype version of a demo model).

Sexual energy is at the very core of our existence. It doesn’t die or lay fallow… it deserves to be cultivated by each one of us as a resource of creative energy gifted to us by our creator. Why else would so many post menopausal women continue to birth projects, paintings, and proactive passions after their child-bearing years are past? Mid-life is just the beginning… the beginning of every woman’s fulfillment into expanded passion in ways she cannot imagine. Until then she can look forward to her epiphany when she enters her next incarnation as a truly Spirited force.

Life extension doctors and PhD’s are in recognition and agreement about the health benefits of our sexual life force as a resource for longevity and vitality. Let’s not forget the sense of well-being inherent in knowing we are still able and capable of orgasmic pleasure long after libido wanes. The Practice of AH, the core teaching of Divine Feminine Awakening, is the single most valuable practice people can learn to incorporate into their intimate experiences. Loving, intentional touch and massage awakens the flow of molecules that keep our life-force flowing.

I wish you a holiday season filled with juicy expressions of your essential self.

Big love, Caroline

How Human am I?

full-58590_1280-1Direct from the desk of Caroline here in Genoa, Nevada, where Fall looks like clear sunny days with cool crisp nights; winds blow and move the trees like spooky movies on Halloween, and a silvery, fat moon hangs suspended in the night sky.

I am beginning to nest in hibernation as my birthday comes near. Slippers and wool socks adorn the floor under my desk. Cups of Earl Grey repeat themselves throughout the day as I think of you and seek refuge in knowing you are there. I am also here with you, as a Priestess of the Divine Feminine and a Tantra Goddess all rolled into one.

My humanness is yours to know more about. As 72 years marks my calendar and photos from old shoots pass over my monitor in the form of wallpaper, I see the passing of time. I feel, however, the surges of creativity increase along with the markers of aging to skin that knew years and years of baking in the sun. I don’t regret a moment of it! Life is still an adventure waiting to happen. The warmth and joy of a life filled with the elements of sun, air, water, and fire continues to heat my burners. I rock with nature and She rocks with me.

Current musings and inspirations…

*I love the youth emerging on Kickstarter and IndeGoGo even as I wonder where all the new ideas come from as well as the energy it takes to implement them.

*I am drawn to visit France where The Magdalene supposedly consorted with Jesus after he was crucified and resurrected to live as a man who loves his woman.

*I see the days when my sweetie and I will fly away to explore more vacations in far away places that inspire our hearts and minds and set them on fire. We are still so young it almost hurts! Our vitamin cupboard fills a space so large, and it is where we worship in gratitude morning and night on the health and vitality we feel. Will is devoted to the results of nutritional supplementation like I am devoted to the results of sensual wholeness and pleasure… a great team after 15 years!

It continues to feel very heartwarming as so many people contact me to work with them. I love private Immersions for women and couples as they allow for a deepening that cannot happen in groups.

I am writing my next digital book for Living a Turned On Life, an online course that will be launched to the world in April, 2016.

Stay tuned my darling, as this she-creature from a clear lagoon splashes her way to shore.

Yours very truly, Caroline

Woman-ifesto

A manifesto is a declaration of beliefs or philosophy.

I have written a Woman–ifesto below that expresses a platform for my feminine soul. I invite you to do the same, and live by the creed of your own making!

My Woman-ifesto

Goddess Fire

I AM WOMAN

Mother, daughter, beloved, virgin, crone, wife, and lover

I am divinely feminine, vulnerable, strong, and eternally and internally in balance with my masculine god force.

I am alive to fulfill my assignment as a warrioress of the truth, and destroyer of all that no longer serves the embodiment of female principles.

Female principles include living by the codes of light, love, equality, compassion, passion, right livelihood, honesty, transparency, and grace.

I meet each day reaching into my feminine soul for recognition, as well as meeting opportunities to reach into other souls in recognition of their essence.

Woman is creator of all in harmony with God. One without the other is like an angel with one wing. Together we fly in a formation of winged ones, singing praises of thanks and gratitude in the Psalms of sisterhood.

Please share your manifesto or woman-ifesto in the comments below!

Big Love, Caroline
